<h3>The opportunity </h3>
<p>The project to replace Adelaide’s Women’s and Children’s Hospital created a chance to rethink healthcare services. The goal was to bring services up to international standards and to align with best practices. Lexica joined the healthcare planning team, serving as advisers on international healthcare models and as peer reviewers for the project’s planning phase.</p><h3>Our approach</h3>
<p dir="ltr">As experts in healthcare planning, Lexica ran workshops to guide stakeholders through global trends relevant to women’s and children’s services. We helped examine whether combining facilities or keeping separate women’s and children’s hospitals would best meet community needs.</p>
<p dir="ltr">During these sessions, we led discussions to set clear priorities and agree on essential planning principles. This included establishing criteria for site selection and mapping out potential service models. These early workshops helped set a unified vision for the project.</p>

<p dir="ltr">Lexica’s presentations and workshops introduced leading practices from global healthcare providers. We focused on innovative care models, optimised patient pathways, and technology integration - all tailored for women’s and children’s services. </p>
